Bake Sale 2012
On the 18th of October, a bake sale was organized by SLO prefects for secondary students to raise money for senior citizens. Students invested their time preparing food to be enjoyed during the lunch break sale, and they were able to raise 560 U.S dollars. This generous budget enabled students to buy woolen socks, scarves and shawls to keep the elderly warm throughout the harsh winter.
Another bake sale took place on the 31st of October, for students in grades 4 to 8. Needless to say, it was also a sounding success, and the entire 1403 U.S dollars that the students raised, were donated to the Red Cross Foundation. Participating students were very proud of these accomplishments and understood that every little thing can make a big difference in so many people’s lives.
